The Texas Department of Information Resources has negotiated and posted a new contract for FirstNet services provided by AT&T.
On September 19, 2017, Governor Greg Abbott announced that Texas will partner with FirstNet and AT&T to deliver a dedicated wireless broadband network for public safety in the state.
